Kevin Haverty is an experienced trial attorney and a member of the firm.  Mr. Haverty practices law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and engaged in the representation of plaintiffs in medical malpractice, pharmaceutical liability actions and other complex litigation. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in July, 1957 but grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1981 with a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science. He was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science Honor Society and was elected to "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." Following graduation he went to work for the County of Camden eventually rising to Deputy County Administrator before beginning law school in 1988. In the interim, he pursued graduate studies in energy economics at the University of Pennsylvania and also became one of the earliest Certified Public Managers (CPM) in New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers Law School - Camden in 1992 with high honors and was both a Dean's Scholar and a staff and articles editor for the Rutgers Law Review. He also authored a law note published in the Law Journal which has been cited by several courts, including the New Jersey Supreme Court and other legal commentators. Since graduation, he has been involved in several precedent-setting cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court, the Superior Court, Appellate Division and the federal District Court for the District of New Jersey. He has authored four briefs as amicus curiae for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America - New Jersey and has been involved in ten (10) cases which resulted in published, precedential decisions. From 1994 to 1997, he was an adjunct professor of legal research and writing at Rutgers Law School - Camden. In 2006, Haverty served on the New Jersey Death Penalty Study Commission created by the legislature. He has been a frequent lecturer on New Jersey procedural and substantive law at various legal seminars.
